Our kids are obsessed with books; reading one will almost always stop a tantrum, heal an owie or set the tone for sleep. A few weeks back I wrote a post on 5 Tips for Encouraging Reading with Kids and this advent calendar should have been included! They just LOVE opening and reading a new book each day and we've mixed in Christmas stories with other ones that can be read year round.
