OH MONDAY!
1. While looking back at photos, I found this one of Miles' nursery that didn't get shared. I think it shows his crib nook perfectly!
2. We spent the weekend at Whistler and loved it. Whistler is such an easy getaway from Vancouver and once you are there, so much is walkable and bike-able that you can really switch off and explore with the kids. We did our first family trail ride with the girls on their new big bikes and rode to Lost Lake for a picnic. Such a proud Mama moment!
3. The drive home from Whistler was made easy by putting The Magic Tree House audio book on for the kids. It's definitely not as great as jamming to your own favourite tunes in the car, but it certainly is better than listening to whiny kids in the back ;)
4. I am excited to have three brand new rooms to start designing. One is another basement playroom project and I can't wait to get started (and of course show you the transformation when it's all done)!
5. I recently discovered local Vancouver artist Sara Clark and I love her work. How gorgeous would this knotted wall hanging look in a kids' room?!
Happy Monday!
OH MONDAY!
1. There are only 14 school days left until all 3 of the kids are home for the summer!! I can hardly believe how quickly this school year has gone!
2. Spring is one of my favourite seasons and I just love bringing fresh flowers home for the table. This is the first year I can put flowers on our coffee table without one of the kids coming and tipping them straight over!! Benefits of the youngest being 5.
3. If you know me personally, you'll know I don't wear earrings all that often. When I do though, I never regret it; earrings elevate a simple outfit so easily! Here are a few of my Spring favourites.
4. With windows this big and a ceiling this high,, this room really doesn't need anything to be incredible. This playroom is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.
5. Aspiring to remember these words all week long...
Have a great week!
OH MONDAY!
1. Why, when it's 20+ outside, do the weekends seem to fly by so much faster? For our friends in the US, I know the weekend is still happening right now. Enjoy it!
2. In other news, our playroom project is completing next week and I can't wait to show it to you!!! Here's a little peek at an in progress iPhone shot.
3. Did you pick anything up in the sales over the weekend? Most are still on today if you haven't!
4. I can't stop pinning!!! Anyone else addicted to Pinterest? This photo is still one of our top pinned images and I am as in love with this canopy corner today as the day I designed Ella's room.
5. The countdown to summer break is on and I would love your help with anything you'd like to see on the blog over the summer. Are you interested in seeing the activities we do at home with the kids? Or would you rather just stick to kids design all year round? If you have any posts you'd like to see here, please let me know in the comments below!
OH MONDAY!
1. We have a winner of the Saje Wellness baby line giveaway!!! A big congratulations to Nicole Sternberg (@nicoleleigh521) who won!
2. I know I shared a room with a hanging chair last week but this chair AND a window bench in an attic playroom? I just had to show you this sweet space.

3. The countdown to school summer break is on at our house (6 weeks!) and I am starting to gather ideas for some fun ways to whittle away the ideas. Do you make a bucket list for summer vacation with your kiddos?
4. I came across this beautiful kaftan for kids and can't get enough. Isn't it gorgeous?
5. This renovation of a 70's airstream is blowing my mind!!! I've dreamt of a caravan for the kids venturing to beautiful spots to explore but this is next level!

Enjoy the Spring weather this week!
OH MONDAY!
1. The weekend flew by! We stayed home, felt the sun warm our faces, watched the Vancouver marathon, hung out with friends and let the kids run amok most of the time. It was wonderful!
2. I've been dying to get our kids a hanging chair. I grew up with one in our house and have vivid memories of whittling away summer afternoons swinging in it. The window view in this dreamy girls room is all sorts of beautiful and that chair is the icing on the cake.

3. Speaking of hanging chairs, these are my three top runners.
4. Keeping life (and our kids toys) organized is a constant battle. I love how simple but totally effective this storage unit is.

5. If you've ever wondered what happens when kids have the run of the house (our house, this weekend) including open access to the art studio...this is where it can end up!
Happy Monday friends!
HELLO!
WINTER DAISY was created when Melissa Barling was laying on the couch while pregnant with twins. She dreamed of a beautiful baby room but couldn't get up and make it happen. The babies were born and in those mid night wakes and early morning feeds, she decided to leave her corporate job to start a design studio + blog. Welcome to WINTER DAISY.
